S.W.A.S.H.® Steady Pelvic Section

The S.W.A.S.H. Steady replaces previous the original S.W.A.S.H. Classic orthosis. The S.W.A.S.H. (Sitting Walking and Standing Hip Orthosis) Steady Pelvic Section is a unique hip orthosis. Unlike other hip braces, this orthosis offers variable controlled thigh abduction – 123˚ required for sitting and 115˚ for wheelchair bound/tight adductor muscles.

The polyethylene pelvic belt that extends from L2/L3 down to the distal margin of the sacrum offering maximum thoracic and pelvic support for candidates with flaccidity or muscle strength, or have very limited trunk control to sit upright. With vertical uprights, the S.W.A.S.H. Steady Pelvic Section follows the pathways of natural motion of the femurs and offers increased posterior and side support. This hip orthosis has been designed with a series of intricate angles to maintain good hip alignment. Greater pelvic coverage also ensures more desirable neuro-sensory motor response.

Sizing: the pelvic section and uprights are measure separately and is available in sizes 1-4.
